Homemade Chicken Fajita's even the kids will love

As a stay at home mom I love to cook for my family. My children like most love their Mac & Cheese, but I some times like to spice it up. Normally I have a back up for the kids in case they absolutely won't even try what I have made. A normal meal is usually meat, and two sides so making fajitas meant no sides. I had a pack of chicken that needed cooked, but didn't have plans for how to make it. I am over BBQ chicken, it's easy and I tend to use it as a fall back for family meals. I headed to the grocery and picked up some bell peppers and a red onion. I meant to grab some fajita mix, but forgot. After emptying out my spice cabinet and surveying my options I came up with this:

                                   6 teaspoons Chili powder
                                   2 teaspoons Salt
                                   3 teaspoons Black Pepper
                                   2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
                                   1 teaspoon Onion Powder
                                   1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
                                   2 teaspoon Oregano

We enjoy a little kick in our seasoning every now and then. I don't necessarily know that everyone would love 6 teaspoons of Chili Powder. Slicing the bell peppers up and throwing them into my largest skillet I sauteed the veggies. One orange bell pepper, one red bell pepper, one yellow bell pepper, and half a red onion diced. After shredding my chicken in the crock pot, I simply added in all my seasoned sauteed veggies and Ta-Da! Fajitas by mom. They had to be amazing because my 10 year old went back for seconds and thirds. So for all us mom's with picky eaters out there, there is hope that they will eat their vegetables willingly.
